kiged567 asks:
im 15 years old, and i have trouble getting to sleep, even if im dead tired i cant sleep till about 2 am. i have tried afew diff methods for afew months at a time and none have worked for me. im wondering is it normal for me to sleep at 2 or 3 am and wake up at 11 or 12 ?

adam32m says:
9 or 10 hours is too much sleep, it is better to get close to 8. Your body is used to those hours, so it will be really difficult to just change it. It is more of a lifestyle change. Cut out whatever keeps you up that late and/or get a reason to get up earlier. Personally, I once had a job that required me to get up at 5:30 in the morning. It was exhausting enough that I need to go to be by 9:30 at night, but before and after that job I stay up later.

upside asks:
My question basically surrounds height. So im currently 15yrs old and about 5ft7. I haven't had a significant growth spurt (as far as i remember) where i've grown a few inches during the summer (like a lot of my friends), and i've grown very insignificant amounts in the past year or so. My parents are pretty short: Dad 5ft6, Mum 4ft10 But my brother whose 19 is about 5ft9. The thing is he says he hit this height when he was my age, and he's stopped growing significantly after that. Plus even as young children he has always had longer limbs than me (he still does). So basically im quite worried as to if i will be growing anymore. I do plenty of exercise, train for rugby and basketball teams. Do cardio (running, skipping) on my non-training days. So i basically do some form of sport everyday. I drink enough milk, and have a relatively balanced diet with vegetables and fruits included. Will i be able to grow to his height? Or possibly even taller?

adam32m says:
It is possible, but since you are taller than both your parents I can't say. You are still young, you have potentially 6 years of growing left, so it is possible. I never hit a major growth spurt past 16, but I grew a couple more inches overall.

duhh_theycare. asks:
im 16, just turned 16 actually. for years now i've been concerned with my boobs or lack-there-of, im 5'7, 147 and have A 34. i have been told they will grow sence i was 12, now i want to do something about it. do you think theres still time they will grow? or will they need help(such as breast pills or surgery but i would not do surgery till 18)Really, this is to make me feel better not for any boyz.

adam32m says:
It is possible, do your older sisters or your mother have larger breasts? That may be the best indicator on what will happen to you. Breasts are always changing so it's possible, but I can't say that they will.

It is there to protect your uterus, it is completely normal and healthy.

advice plz =D asks:
so, here's the deal. i go to a school where everybody knows everybody. not one thing you do is private. so ppl know when there's something different about you. now, here's where my problem comes into play. since everybody knows me, they seem to know that a lot of times, i'll begin to change. ppl have been saying that i have multiple personalities. i think that's a disease, right? anywho, i see it too sometimes. it's not bipolar, it's more, i'll think of something, act like a cracked up three-yr-old, and then as soon as i hear someones voice or even get called over, i start to boil over. idk if that's multiple personalities, but it's starting to become violent. when i'm not the go-lucky, cracked-up-3-yr-old, i'm cousin it, and i'll hurt anybody who pisses me off. i don't want to, but i can't stop myself when i get in that mood. i don't wanna go to a counselor about it, cause a friend of mine told me that i'll never be able to breath with them on my back. so what i'm asking is, what is it? is it multiple personalities?

adam32m says:
No, it sounds more like a mood disorder. MPD usually has blackouts or missed time.

collegegirl asks:
ok, sorry to ask this, but when I was a little younger I was rail thin, underweight (not because of a fast metabolism, because for some reason i used to think being super thin was attractive). Now 18, I've gained fifteen healthy pounds; I reached my ideal weight. As soon as I started gaining weight, I immediately started filling out (breasts developed that i never had in my life, hips grew, etc). I was planning on losing a ten pounds to help counteract the classic "freshman fifteen" weight gain, in case it happened to me. My question was, do you think I would lose my breasts, just as quickly as they came? =/

adam32m says:
Yes you would. You don't need to lose weight to counter the "freshman 15." Just stick with similar eating habits as you have now, with portions and variety. Also, college gives great access to physical activity.

Help please. asks:
Alright. I am 14 yrs old, male, 6' 4" and 280 lbs. I know I am WAY overweight, but I've tried dieting and excersising, and although it helped, I cnt do it for more than a month. So I have taken up bulimia. I've been doing it for about two weeks, and I've lost ten pounds. It's the fastest weight I lost, and I don't feel any different like scientists say they would. I know it probably is doing harm to my body, but I'm losing weight so fast! I wanted to know what you think. Since I'm not feeling different, should I keep doing it, or no?

adam32m says:
No. The weight loss is unhealthy. You are messing up your digestive system by purging. You won't see the effects of it, but it is effecting your body.

just_barely_me asks:
Okay, I'm trying to lose some fat off my stomach. What would be a good way to do this besides a healthy diet and lots of cardio?

adam32m says:
Those are pretty much the only two ways.

bighips asks:
my hips are really big AND im only 14yrs. old whenever i buy pants i allways need to buy a big size cause if my hips but when ibuy a big size they make my legs look big and make me look fat.Is there anyway to make my hips smaller and i have another question iam 5'3 and i weight 120 am i overwieght

snow_board_er says:
If your hip bones are big then there's nothing you can do except wear darker colors since dark colors slim. You are overweight, so you can begin to lose weight by exercising regularly and eating less junk food.
